1. The story “Aaron’s Gift” was written by Myron Levoy, and took place in New York City around 1950.

2. Aaron found Pidge, and fixed his broken wing. Then Aaron trained Pidge to be a messenger pigeon. Next, Carl invited Aaron to join the gang and have Pidge be the mascot, but Aaron’s mom said no. Then Aaron took Pidge to the clubhouse, where the gang built a fire, and planned to throw Pidge into the fire. Then there was a big fight, with Aaron trying to save Pidge and the gang kicking and punching Aaron. Pidge flew away. Aaron went home and told everyone what had just happened. Grandmother was happy with her gift.
