Baton Twirling is Catching

Here’s your opportunity to perform in parades and shows, including the St. Patricks Day parade! Yvonne Pedersen, a nationally renowned twirl instructor, is proud to introduce twirling to the Front Range! Build self-esteem, self-discipline, and teamwork skills while enhancing coordination, rhythm and grace. Classes focus on twirling skills, dance, and drilling.

Age: 5-14 years

Note: Professional ABC baton required and available for purchase from instructor for an additional $25.Class partially discountable. Intro Level I is for first-time twirlers who have never twirled with this program. Youth Fencing

Learn to Skate

Skating skills will be taught to increase participants’ confidence on inline skates. This program is designed for those new to inline skating and will prepare them for Mini/Junior Coyotes and open skating participation. Rental skates are available for check-out from Hat-Trick Sports located inside OD’s Sports Crossing.

X-treme Gym

What a fun place to bring your kindergartner through 5th grader! Come join your friends for one or all of the X-treme Gym nights at the Youth Activity Center (YAC). On scheduled Saturday nights from 6-8 PM the YAC gym will be opened up for an exciting two hours of climbing ropes, obstacle courses, heart-pounding activities and a zip-line! Remember, you must pre-register.

Coed High School Sports

Get your friends together to form teams to compete in the High School Sports Leagues. These teams are for students not currently on their school varsity team. Rosters are unlimited, however players may only participate on one team. Minimum of 2 girls must be on floor at all times. All games played at Youth Activity Center on Sunday evenings.

Spring Break Minihawk Camp

Spring Break Basketball Camp

Skyhawks basketball breaks down this exhilarating sport into fundamental skills that all athletes, no matter their skill level, need to succeed. Coaches will lead the athletes’ through game-speed drills and exercises, focusing on the fundamentals. Having fun and improving skills is the goal of every Skyhawks camp. Athletes will put their skills to test in an end-of-the-week tournament! Fee includes T-Shirt and Merit award.

Rookie Rugby

This non-contact Rugby League will introduce youth to one of the most popular sports in the world! First meeting will be an introduction to rugby clinic (that includes the parents), then the players will be separated onto teams and have a 5-week league. Games will be played on Monday evenings with practices on Friday evenings. All players will receive a rugby ball!

Grade: 3-5

Spring Break Basketball Tourney

This non-contact football program consists of the fundamentals of football while combining the rules of football, soccer, hockey, ultimate Frisbee and basketball. League features one practice per week and games on Saturday mornings.

General Information

Lewis Tennis School directs all tennis programs for the City of Fort Collins. With over 40 years of experience in the tennis industry, Lewis Tennis provides quality lessons, programs and tournaments for all levels and ages.

These programs strive to provide a positive learning environment for players of all ages. Players will learn not only the techniques to become accomplished players but also life skills that help them to excel and enjoy tennis and other areas in their life.

Programs are held at Rolland Moore Racquet Complex and Fossil Creek Park and our indoor court at 2200 Airway Ave.

New! Quickstart Tennis

An exciting new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size.


Quickstart Little Lobber (4-6 yrs)

Young players develop their basic hand and eye coordination and athletic skills. Movement, balance, and proper techniques will be taught by using fun games. Sportsmanship is emphasized.

Quickstart Beginning Junior (7-17 yrs)

Learn basic stroking fundamentals, rules, play fun games to develop skills. Players will learn the correct way to hit the ball in order to build a strong foundation for future play. Most players will stay in this level for at least two years.

Future Star (8-18 yrs)

These intermediate juniors improve basic skills, develop more advanced strokes such as topspin and slice serves and develop match skills. Most players will stay in this level for 2+ years.


Home School Classes

These classes are held at flexible times during the day. Give us a call to arrange a home school class for your children.


The Academy (12-18 yrs)

The Academy focus is on the needs of the player that has the desire to compete at their highest level. This program is for the advanced intermediate to advanced player who has had at least two to three years of tennis experience.

Tournaments

USTA sanctioned junior tournaments are offered for novice, intermediate and advanced players.

Class Schedule

Lesson programs are offered at Rolland Moore, Fossil Creek and at our indoor facility (2200 Airway Ave.) You may sign up for as many days as you like (We recommend at least two days per week).
