SUMMARY





A wicked man trick Aladdin into retrieving a magic lamp for him. Aladdin learns of the magic lamp and keeps it. He marries the Princess. The wicked man learns of this and tricks the Princess into giving him the magic lamp. She poisons the wicked man. She and Aladdin live happily ever after.

Introductions








1.

Bring in a small ring box. Tell the child that before you can open the box some magic words must be said. Ask the child if they have anything magic like that. Tell the child that today we are going to read about a boy who finds something magical.







2.

Show the child the book. Ask the child to tell you something that they would wish for if they found a magic lamp. Let’s read and see what Aladdin wishes for.







3.

Bring in something small that is colored. Tell the child that a genie lives in it. Ask the child if they have ever seen a genie. Ask what a genie does. Let’s read and see what Aladdin does when he sees a genie for the first time.
