Hello Everyone, I'm new on here. I have been reading all of the post for months, but this is the first time I'm posting anything. I've been looking for the October 2008 Due dates, but haven't seen one. There is a October due dates thread but after reading that one it's the 2007 mommies. So this is for all of the October 2008 mommies to be!! I will find out at the end of this month if I will be a October 2008 mommy. Baby dust and best of luck to everyone!!!!!! #2
aj-9.27.08 1/23/2008 9:38 AM
So, I'm tentatively venturing over here, since I've had a couple BFP's now. They keep getting darker each day. I'm guessing, since I will be right on the line between Sept. and Oct. that I will wind up over here! Still pretty symptom-free, aside from the bloating, emotions and sometimes cramps.
1/23/2008 10:10 AM
Congrat's aj442!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm so happy you had the courage to post that you are tentatively a October 2008 Mommy!! Congrats again.
1/23/2008 10:12 AM
Thanks, hopefully! I can't tell you what a relief it is to have you girls to chat with.
1/23/2008 12:36 PM
I am hoping to join the Oct 2008 Due Dates! I am CD31 and AF was due today and hasn't shown. My temp has been up for the past 10 days, but I tested Monday and Tuesday and got BFN. Today FF says that I am triphasic and didn't O until CD25. I don't see how that's possible. I have always had 28-31 day cycles and positive OPK's CD 15-17. I only started temping half way through this month, so i wonder if that has something to do with him. I just turned 30 and DH is 33. I have been TTC for 6 months. I hope this is my lucky month!
1/23/2008 12:54 PM
I hope this is your lucky month, too, caroline. This board needs to get busy! #7
1/23/2008 12:55 PM
Obviously, this board getting busy is not the only reason I hope this is your lucky month!Good luck!
1/23/2008 1:31 PM
aj- Thanks! I hope so too! It's so frustrating. To have symptoms and just keep getting BFN. I actually have an appt Fri with my OBGYN. I had already made the appt to discuss what to do from here, so maybe I will get there and have a blood test and get my BFP! Does anyone know what the dr will do at those appts?
1/23/2008 1:33 PM
If this turns out to be my lucky month, MY EDD would be Oct 1, 2008:)
1/24/2008 8:53 AM
Welcome Caroline!!!!I hope this is a lucky month for all of us!!!! I'm in the tww and plan on testing Jan 30th!!!!!! If this is my month then my EDD would be October 10th!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to have a October baby!!! Baby dust to everyone!!!
1/24/2008 9:30 AM
Hopefully - OMG, less than a week to go!
1/24/2008 2:40 PM
I know less than a week to go, but it seems like forever. I don't have any symptoms at all. So, that's kind of got me bummed but I'm still hoping and praying that I will get a bfp!!
1/25/2008 10:11 AM
I have almost no symptoms - if I hadn't been trying, I would have assumed that my cramps and emotions were AF, and that I'm tired because of the freezing cold weather. (I felt bloated, but I'm a human sponge and get bloated if I look at salt or cheese.)
So, what I'm saying is -- you're still in the running! I've been throwing the dust at everyone so that I can get you girls over here on this board! So take that!
1/26/2008 3:30 PM
I think I might still be talking to myself over here, but my symptoms are raging now. I constantly feel car sick or like I'm hung over, and I need SLEEP. I went to bed at 7 last night, and slept until 6:30. Then, I had to take a 2 1/2 hour nap today. Sheesh!
1/26/2008 3:31 PM
Ok, I didn't type symptoms twice, but it's sticking it in my post twice. Quit it, MSN!
1/26/2008 9:50 PM
I just found out on Thursday that my husband and I are pregnant! This is our (and my!) first pregnancy, so this is completely new territory for me. I'm already looking up every symptom I have online in hopes that everything's normal, and wanted to talk with others about this to try to put my mind at ease!
I'm estimating a due date in mid-October (my guess is the 11th, but I'll find out more when I see the doctor), so I guess I belong in this topic!
I started having nausea and mood swings last week, and have had some mild abdominal cramps for the past few days. Eating smaller meals about every two hours seems to help with the nausea a little.
So in any case, I wanted to talk with people who are also going through this, and maybe relieve some of my frustration at not being able to tell every single person I know right now! #17
1/27/2008 5:07 AM
Well I am officially a member of the OCtober due dates.....if only for a fleating moment!
I took HPT this morning and within seconds the digital CBE test came back PREGNANT!!! But then I wiped, and the was blood....not a ton, but it was bright pink/reddish! I called my RE's office, and they said what I thought they would, which was to take it easy and come in on Monday morn for bw. They also said not to stress since I am on injectable progesterone, and that this type of bleeding is normal for lots of women......the thing is Im not lots of women, I have had 11 m/c's! Nedless to say I am a bit stressed right now!
1/27/2008 9:16 AM
ct975 - Welcome! Congratulations! This is my first pg, too, so I'm in the same boat.I feel about the same as you do, with some major fatigue!
Special - Congratulations! I know that you're stressing right now, but please relax and hang tight until you can get to the dr. right now. I'm hoping you're here again tomorrow. Keep us posted. I'm at the dr. tomorrow morning, too, so I'll check back to see how you're doing in the afternoon.
1/27/2008 9:37 AM
Thanks aj442, I will post as soon as I here from my RE tommorow after the bloodwork and stuff. Im just gonna try to take it easy today and TRY to keep my mind off of it...lol...I think thats easier said than done.
1/27/2008 11:17 AM
Thanks, aj442! It's really nice to find someone who is having the same experience. I'd been on the pill for 12 years (I'm 32), and only just came off it in November. I figured we'd try for six months, and then see the doctor if we hadn't been able to conceive. But it's happened so quickly - I'm really surprised.
How soon should you visit the doctor after a positive test?
Special - lots of good thoughts and prayers are coming your way.
1/27/2008 11:40 AM
ct975 - I'm similar. I'm 29, was on bc for over 11 years before coming off in November. We waited about a month and a half before trying to get my hormones a little more in check. I also conceived the first month we were actively "trying." I was trying to prepare for the possibility that we might have trouble, but we were very lucky. I'm going tomorrow to the doctor, but I don't think you have to go right away. I think the first exam that they really want you in for is at 8 weeks, but sooner if you have a history of issues. You might want to call your doctor and see what they think. I'm certainly not the expert, just a rookie!
Special - how are you feeling? Have you received any foot rubs? Rented any chick flicks?
1/27/2008 4:39 PM
Oh my goodness!! It is awesome to see an October 2008 due date board!! I am an October 2007 mommy and just wanted to pop in and say congratulations. It is hard to believe that this exact time last year (I think I tested on the 26th to be exact!) I found out that I was pregnant. Now, I am sitting here watching my almost four month old little boy swinging in his swing! I wish you all the best of luck! My due date was October 3, but he decided to be a little late and was born October 5! This year will fly by for you guys!!! I wish you all the best!!
1/27/2008 8:35 PM
(same as on the hopefull October board)
Thought I would stop in a give an update:
Well the day is almost over and the bleeding has pretty much stopped. So yeah for that! However, about 3pm today I passed a clot the size of a pea. After that it pretty much slowed down to where it is now, which is very very light brownish spotting when I wipe only.
There are things that are leaving me hopefull right now that it was just a blood clot. First, I never got any cramping all day and Second that it has pretty much stopped. I continued to take all my meds, including the dreaded PIO!! SO please say a prayer or hold a possative thought for me that all goes well 2morrow.
1/28/2008 5:49 AM
Special - tons of positive thoughts are being sent your way!
1/28/2008 7:28 AM
I'm also an Oct 07 mom (my twins were born 9/26 though) and wanted to say Congrats!! I'm so excited for you guys! Glowing is right, time does fly. There will be times you'll think I'm crazy for saying this, but enjoy your pregnancies, its truly a gift and a wonderful experience.
Best wishes and good luck!
1/28/2008 7:45 AM
thanks, sf522. I was just thinking that a year from now I'll have a 4 month old! WOW.
1/28/2008 8:20 AM
Congrats to all of the ladies that got bfp over the weekend!!!I'm so happy to see the October 2008 due dates board grow!!! Hopefully I will be joining you in a few days!!! #28
1/28/2008 9:11 AM
Well I went to the Dr office this mornng and did my bw so now its all about the wait! They should call around 1pm - 4pm today and my nurse said what we do next will depend on my levels. worst case senerio I go in in 3 days for another bw, best case I go in in a week for u/s and bw.....so now we wait!
1/28/2008 9:46 AM
hopefully, good luck!
Special, hang in there! don't go crazy!
1/28/2008 9:47 AM
So, I went to the dr. this morning. I'm at 4w6d, and an EDD of 10/2. She's having me come back in 2 weeks for an u/s since my cycles are longer. Whee! I feel so official now!
1/28/2008 10:10 AM
aj442 how early did you test and get a bfp?? AF is due to show up on Feb 1st. I have a very reg cycle (every 28 days). So, I was going to wait until Jan 30th to test but i kind of want to test tomorrow. I just don't know?? I don't have any symptoms or anything so I don't know if I should waste a test a day early. Any Advise would be welcome.
Thanks girls Congrats again!!!
1/28/2008 10:16 AM
Hi hopefully. My cycles are longer, my latest was 33 days. The first time I tested was at 25 days, and got a BFN. I waited until 28 days, and got a veeery faint BFP. I tested again the next 3 days, and the line continually got stronger and darker. I would say to hold out until you are a little closer to your AF date, since when I tested too early I was really disappointed when I shouldn't have been. I know - easier said than done!! I was a POAS addict. But, if you know it isn't going to get you down, go for it.
1/28/2008 10:21 AM
Well I am going to try and hold out, but I have 4 first response test on hand!! So if I get the urge to test tomorrow I will but if not then I will hold out a few more days!!! Thanks aj
1/28/2008 10:32 AM
I went through 5 tests before my dr. appt, so I hear ya. Try not to burn them up like I did, since I had used my 3, and wanted more so I bought another 2 just to be sure. My DH was like, how many positives do you NEED, woman?! Supposedly, though, the early detection ones can pick up the HCG a few days before the missed period, so maybe try on Wed or Thurs for a better result.
1/28/2008 12:53 PM
I tested on the first day of my missed period and got a BFP within a minute. Although the tests can detect earlier, I didn't want to have to wait and retest later. I have to say, I love the digital tests - no ambiguity in the results at all!
And I'm headed for my first ob appointment later this week. Good luck and baby dust to Hopefully and Special!
1/29/2008 7:01 AM
Good morning! Back to the office after working from home last night after my dr's appt in the morning. Blech. It's so hard to concentrate! Anyway, I'm exactly 5 weeks today. Its like someone flipped a switch on some of my symptoms lately, too. My poor nips feel like I've had clothespins on them...YOUCH! Anyone heard of nightmares during pregnancy, too?
Mich is cooking another due June 4th
1/29/2008 7:05 AM
Good morning October 2008 mommies! I'm going to be a September 2008 momma and just wanted to say CONGRATS!!!!!! And good luck to everyone still hoping that this is their month. Happy & Healthy pregnancies to all! #38
1/29/2008 7:06 AM
1/29/2008 9:03 AM
AJ - I read on a different thread about your yickiness - youch is right! And nightmares on the side? Dang! What are they about?
Oh yes, this is me 'testing the waters' on the due dates board
1/29/2008 9:06 AM
Woo-hoo! I'm excited to see you over here, sibilance! Is your appt. tomorrow? You'll have to post all your news. I felt so "official" after my first appt. yesterday!
Yeah, I feel wretched today. I have a feeling it's going to get worse, though, since I'm only at week 5. That's OK, since every dry heave means I'm still preggo, right?
So, my boobs hurt, I'm queasy, I'm bloated, I'm dizzy, I'm WAY crabby, blah blah blah. How are you feeling?
1/29/2008 9:30 AM
Yep - tomorrow at 10:15MT. I am so excited! Well really it's an appt. for something else, but I called yesterday about getting some further testing to confirm my bean, and they just told me to remind them at the appt. And oh will I remind them .
That sux about m/s already. My mom never had it with her 3 pg's, and my sis is 6 months preggo with her 2nd and has never had it. But I'm kind of the weird one out in the fam so we'll see! So far I've lost my appetite a few mornings and had a poison-like aftertaste with some foods & bev's but no nausea. Bbs are still a bit tender, and I'm REAL tired. I keep trying to convince dh that going to bed at 8:00 is the new cool thing to do
1/29/2008 9:37 AM
Hi girls, just thought I would check in...I am still around so far I took another digital test this am and it is still yelling Pregnant at me. The bleeding has stopped again and went back to brnish spotting. I just keep hoping for the best.
1/29/2008 9:40 AM
sibilance - some of the women in my fam were super sick, and some never felt a thing. For some, it even changed from one kid to the next - one sis had it totally easy with her son and was sick all 3 trimesters with her daughter. Who knows!?
special - yay! I'm glad to hear that the test is yelling PG at you and the bleeding has stopped. You're still here!!
1/29/2008 10:00 AM
Ahhh, sweet sweet saltines.
1/29/2008 10:02 AM
Special - sending positive thoughts your way!
You guys saying the test "yells" positive totally got my brain off on a tangent. Like, I bet it's not too far off when an HPT does have the capacity to "talk" or "yell". So you poas, and a minute later - "congratulations! yooooou're pregnant!" or "baby on the way! baby on the way" or "I'm sorry, this test yields a negative result. please try again at a later time"
1/29/2008 10:13 AM
sibilance, that would be way creepy.
1/29/2008 11:12 AM
I have just begun to discover the joy of saltines. Ginger snaps, too. It hasn't been too bad yet, although I'm only at 2 1/2 weeks. My mother has warned me that if morning sickness is genetic, I'm in for a rough ride.
Bbs are getting sore, too, and I'm catching naps whenever I can.
The test already seems to "yell" if it gives you the result quickly. Especially with the digital ones, the instructions say it can take up to 3 minutes for a response. If you get one in less than a minute, it's pretty loud!
1/29/2008 12:47 PM
aj - no kidding! Can you imagine?
ct - when are you headed to the doc?
1/29/2008 3:58 PM
This Friday. I'll have just hit three weeks.
1/30/2008 7:47 AM
Girls, you around this morning? I'm at 5w1d today, and I feel like I have the flu! Plus, I'm even more of a basketcase. Did I tell you guys what I did last Thursday? I live in the burbs in Chicago, and take a train downtown everyday. Well, I missed my stop, had to get off on the next one going the other way, and take it back to my stop. It cost me like 40 minutes, and I was so **** at myself I wanted to cry. By the time i got home to tell DH, though, it was hilarious.
1/30/2008 8:38 AM
I don't get to join this board:( AF came today a week late. I hope to move to the Nov 2008 board. Good luck and congrats ladies! #52
1/30/2008 8:40 AM
Aw Caroline I'm sorry about AF ...baby dust to you for a fall turkey baby!!
1/30/2008 8:43 AM
aj - that sux about your train stop! Good that you were able to laugh about it that day already though!
On Monday I had to cover for one of my employees that was sick, so I had to do some customer service stuff that involved money. Well I ended up leaving that night without running any of those reports, counting money, putting it in the safe, NOTHING. Thank God someone noticed during the night shift and did it for me. Sheesh!
1/30/2008 8:48 AM
Caroline, I'm sorry to hear about AF. Good luck to you!
I hope you wind up having a big ol' November turkey (as opposed the the Oct. pumpkin. Get it? Sorry, that was dumb. We liked to joke about my sister's Christmas Ham (baby) that she had in Dec.)
1/30/2008 8:55 AM
Hey girls - Congratulations to all of you, I was an Oct 2007 mommy. I ended up being a Sept mommy though. If you ever have any questions you can stop by the 2007, we still chat there. Hope you have healthy pumpkins this year (aj, I thought that was cute)
1/30/2008 9:08 AM
Thanks, MadisonKlaire! I'm sure I'll pop by for advice. Congrats on your peanut! #57
1/30/2008 9:37 AM
Pumpkin babies! I love it. :)
I haven't had any incidences of mommy brain yet, but I'm sure I'll catch up soon. Three weeks tomorrow!
Lots of November baby dust for you, Caroline!
Mommy to Bree and my angel in heaven Bryce
1/30/2008 10:39 AM
Hey everyone, I'm still lurking on the October Hopefuls board but I'm hoping to be able to join this board in the middle of February. If I do happen to get pregnant this month, my EDD will be October 26. I'm only on CD10 right now, so I still have about a week left until my official 2WW, but I'll be lurking back and forth between here and the hopefuls board. Congratulations to everyone who got a BFP this month! #59
1/30/2008 11:01 AM
hoping, good luck!Hope to see you over here. The more the merrier! #60
1/30/2008 1:09 PM
sibilance, you better post first thing when you get your good news tomorrow.
1/30/2008 2:02 PM
aj - you know I will! I have meetings ALL morning...and hate to take my cell with b/c I will be so distracted by it the entire time. Eeeeeeegads. I keep trying to fast fwd to tomorrow afternoon but it's not working. Dang flawed time travel.
1/30/2008 8:10 PM
Hey ladies - I am a October 2007 mommy (actually delivered 5 days late 11/1). Be prepared to be VERY tired during the 1st trimester. I was one of the sick ones but I felt like if I was awake, I was sick and I slept ALOT
Congrats to all
1/30/2008 8:52 PM
Thanks, Maureen! That's pretty much how I'm feeling right now. I reach three weeks tomorrow, and I'm taking naps wherever I can. Like aj, I've discovered the joy of Saltines!
1/31/2008 6:52 AM
Hey, ct, how are you feeling today? I haven't been feeling all that sick the last two days, but my body feels like it has the flu - achey and tired. My head/stomach seem to be fine, though, which is nice!
Are you 3 weeks post conception or 3 weeks past your last period?
1/31/2008 8:13 AM
sibilance. Are you back from your meetings yet? Did you hear from the doctor yet?!
1/31/2008 8:48 AM
Hey aj, I've been feeling queasy and run down for the past couple of days. I'm trying to keep eating small meals every two hours to keep something in my stomach, and saltines help if I start feeling really ill. My DH had a nasty cold last week, and I think I'm trying to fight that off, too, which doesn't help. I know there are very few medications I can take safely if I *DO* get sick.
I'm three weeks post conception, and about six weeks from the first day of my last period. Since I went off the pill, I've been having a five week cycle, and I guessed at my ovulation date by checking my CM.
And first doctor's visit is tomorrow afternoon - I guess that makes it "real"!
1/31/2008 9:16 AM
How exciting for your first doctor's appt tomorrow! Enjoy it - I've never had such a great time at the doctor.
BTW, your doctor will tell you that you're "6weeks," since they count from the date of your last period. Not sure if you knew that you get credit for those weeks! So, I'm only 3 weeks post conception, but I'm 5 weeks and 2 days from my last period.
1/31/2008 11:16 AM
aj - I posted the news on the Oct Hopefuls thread. Basically, I am preggers, but my HCG level was only 36, so I have to go back in tomorrow to see if it doubles & the pg is viable. Eeeaaahhh! Did they tell you anything about your hcg level? #69
1/31/2008 11:33 AM
sibilance, I responded in the other board, but OMG. I've totally got my fingers crossed for you. I'm hoping that it's that you got pg later in your cycle. #70
1/31/2008 12:01 PM
Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!
So, I was suppose to start my cycle today and haven't yet. I couldn't wait anymore so I waited about three hours to go the the bathroom and took a test!!! AND THERE IS A really dark line and a really faint line (its a first response test). So, I think I might be pregnant!!!!!!! What do you girls think how dark should the line be???? I'm so excited I cannot even type right.
1/31/2008 12:11 PM
Thanks again Ang. Do you know what your hcg level was when you did b/w?
Hopefully - aj & I both got faint lines to start too, and we're both pg! How exciting for you!
1/31/2008 12:16 PM
hopefully - that sounds like my first test w/ first response, too. I set it down on the counter, and then woke DH up at 5 AM to come make sure I wasn't crazy. Try again w/ your first pee first thing tomorrow morning - I bet it'll be darker. #73
1/31/2008 12:17 PM
sib, I'm totally on pins and needles for you. #74
1/31/2008 12:20 PM
Also, just got off the phone w/ mom. It was totally hard not to blurt it out - we're not telling our family until Valentine's day. A lot of my family is going to be over for the game on Sunday, and we're a family that likes beer with our parties. I'm going to have to think of something clever when they wonder why I don't have a beer. I'm just not going to mention it and hope that I'm moving around too much for anyone to notice!
1/31/2008 12:22 PM
Thanks Girls, I just can't believe it. I keep asking dh if he see the line to and he does so that's good!!! Did you girls have any slight cramping before you tested. I'm just getting little cramps here and there??? #76
1/31/2008 12:27 PM
yes, yes yes! Little twingey twingers right where you picture your uterus to be?
1/31/2008 12:28 PM
As a matter of fact, my cramps got worse after I was further along - they were just fleeting little cramps when I was just suspecting. They didn't feel like AF, but now they feel more like that. Although they're more...sharp, and less of a dull ache, like AF was for me.
1/31/2008 12:30 PM
Ok, thanks aj I thought it might be ok but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks again
1/31/2008 12:31 PM
Well, it sounds like you might be pg! Any other symptoms?
mommy2twins - BG
1/31/2008 12:32 PM
Just stopping in to say congratulations to you Oct '08 mommies-to-be! That's so exciting! I am a September '08 mommy-to-be of twins! If any of you have any questions at all, feel free to stop in by us and ask. We're pretty chatty over there and, besides, we're not too far ahead of you ladies! This is so fun!
