  • I was one of the winning directors by the Irish Times for The Other Woman, in Whereabouts for Fishamble, 2006

  • Won best pageant for directing the Cycle of Life at St Patrick’s Day Festival featuring 700 performers, 2003

  • I was the first ever Black Artistic Director of a theatre company in the Republic of Ireland where I was also an Anti-Racism Trainer for the Equality Authority of Ireland and played Nina Udenze, in the first Black family on Irish Television, between 2002 and 2005

  • Participated as a writer / performer collaborator with dancers, choreographers, digital artists and film makers on PAL Dance Lab, 2002

  • Sat on the board of directors for Theatre Venture 1995-6 and Cardboard Citizens, 2009-2013
  • My play Moj of the Antarctic: An African Odyssey work was chosen to be Showcased by the British Council at Edinburgh Festival, 2007. This work subsequently toured Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius and South Africa through British Council


  • I was the first theatre artist to join an arts and science expedition to the High Arctic seas and Greenland with Cape Farewell (the cultural response to climate change) alongside artists and musicians who included Jarvis Cocker, Laurie Anderson, Sophie Calle, KT Tunstall, Martha Wainwright, Shlomo, Jude Kelly, Lemn Sissay, Marcus Brigstocke, Tracey Rowledge, Susan Lori-Parks and Ruichi Sakamoto, 2008
