Dzuko valley is a green valley and most picturesque place in Senapati District bordering Nagaland. It is famous for its rare terrestrial lily called “Dzuko Lily”. This valley is snow cladded during January and February. The heist peak of Manipur “Mount Isu” is also behind this valley.
Setting up a base camp at the beginning of the trekking, by keeping trekking equipment (10 nos. to start with), guides, and education aids to the tourists
Setting up of camps with tents with base preparation and other facilities such as cooking facilities, toilet and bathroom, etc at suitable locations in the trekking routs (at least 2 locations)

Tamenglong is on the western side of Manipur. Tamenglong district is filled with deep gorges, mysterious caves, splendid waterfalls, and exotic orchids. This district is undulating and has a number of Orchads.
Development of Tourist Centre:
Reception cell cum information centre to be created in such a way that it projects the historical and ethnic diversity of the place along with information on weather, natural calamity, stay, food, tribe etc
A detailed map of Tamenglong district indicating all tourist destinations of the district
A small exhibition hall to showcase the information of the tourist sites and village culture in the form of panels
An eco resort is proposed at Tamenglong village at some vantage point where one can get good view. The resort will have accommodation of about 10 rooms at the beginning along with proper dining facilities. The architecture should be locally matching.
Identify some (at least 2 villages at the beginning) which are still maintaining old village culture and develop them into tourist villages on the lines of Nagaland. This would include
Construction of eco-resorts at these villages which are maintained by respective village councils
Documenting information about the village life and providing to the tourists
Development of some local youth as guides
Tamenglong is well known for orange forming. A number of orange orchards exist in this district. Tourism department has to tie up with orange orchard owners and develop tourist routs to these orange orchards. The department should arrange to tourists orange orchard tours and orchid tours. Tourists should be able to spend some time in these orchards and enjoy the special tastes of the oranges grown in this region.
In partnership with orange orchard owners, create guest houses on the lines of farm houses where tourists can stay and enjoy the orange orchards. Arrange trekking from these guest houses to various orange orchards and surrounding locations.
Strengthening of road between Tamenglong and NH 63 (approximately 60 km).
Tharon Cave: This cave is 655.6 meters in length and features 34 joints and five exits. It has more than 130 caves. There is a good opportunity for development of tourism.
Strengthening of road from Tamenglong to Tharon cave (27 km).
Development of good ventilation system inside the cave to ensure ample air circulation in the cave.
