Peninsula Mommies

A group for moms on the Hampton Roads Peninsula (including Williamsburg, York County, Newport News, Hampton, and surrounding areas) to meet other moms in the area. Peninsula Mommies is a local chapter of The Mommies Network, a non-profit organization providing communities and support for local moms. Our group is free and open to all moms in our area, regardless of age, race, military or religious affiliation. The website offers features such as private messaging, multiple forums for discussions, support groups, a monthly calendar, photo albums, online chat, etc. To become a member, register at www.PeninsulaMommies.com and within 24 hours you will receive a welcome letter and access to all the features of our site, including a monthly calendar of all our upcoming events.

Peninsula Parents of Multiples

The Peninsula Parents of Multiples serves as a support system for parents and/or guardians of twins, triplets, or other multiple birth children. We want to help you in the parenting of multiples and we offer many unique opportunities designed to help enrich your family life. The PPoM generally meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 7 – 9 PM (with the exception of December). Russian Childrens Club

Open to children who have Russian cultural roots. Provides children with weekly classes to expose them to Russian language and Russian cultural activities. SAHM of the Virginia Peninsula

A non-profit support group nationally recognized for mothers and mothers to be of twins, triplets and more. Look Good Feel Better Programs

Services: Cancer can rob a woman of her appetite and strength, but it doesn't have to take away her self-confidence. Look Good...Feel Better is a FREE program that teaches grooming and beauty techniques to women in active treatment to help them combat and cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. You will learn how to apply makeup, style hair, and receive suggestions on sources for wigs. Along with the support you receive, each participant receives a complimentary makeup kit that is valued at $200.

The Sentara Cancer Network offers Look Good...Feel Better at each of our hospitals at different times each month. Patients interested in attending a session must call the facility where they wish to attend at least one week in advance to register.

SENTARA LEIGH COMPREHENSIVE BREAST CENTER: This group meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 6:00-8:00pm in the Sentara Leigh Comprehensive Breast Center Conference Room located at 880 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502. This district covers groups in Chesapeake, Great Bridge, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and York County.


La Leche League -Great Bridge Group
