We offer full service support from breastfeeding classes, help with breastfeeding difficulties, professional quality breast pump rentals and sales, to assistance with planning for breastfeeding when returning to work. Services: The Health Management Clinic is a facility based educational clinic that is designed to assist patients with certain medical conditions learn how they can work with their health care providers to improve and maintain their health. Patients are taught how to self manage common day-to-day problems with their conditions and how to decrease or prevent the effects of chronic health conditions. The EFMP Coordinator is physically located in the Health Management Clinic. Patients are allowed to self refer for education but follow-up care and enrollment is done by referral from their Primary Care Provider. The Clinic will be glad to answer any questions regarding the referral process.

Services: USO Fort Eustis is the Soldier’s “Home Away From Home.” Visitors to the Fort Eustis Center will find cable TV on a large screen TV, reading library, movies, games, fax services, computer services and refreshments. Some of the special events at the Fort Eustis USO are: Holiday Buffets, Family dinners, barbecues, dart and card tournaments, craft programs and mini-trips.

Services: Groninger Library provides information and reading resource materials on various popular and duty related subjects. The Library has 10 computers with access to the internet, as well as a wireless internet for your personal computers.  Patrons have the opportunity to search our automated card catalog for books, compact discs, DVDs, audio cassettes and, video tapes.

We also provide access to a photocopier and a fax machine for a small fee. Our children’s room is equipped with a play area and a children’s library. We also have a periodicals area, a conference room, and a multimedia area. The library provides up to date monthly and, quarterly magazines and daily newspapers to be enjoyed in our open reading area. We also offer a best seller and contemporary military reading book list. College CLEP class information is also available upon request at the circulation desk.

Transition Services: The Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) delivers a world-class transition program for America’s Army that ensures that all eligible transitioners have the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to be competitive and successful in the global workforce. ACAP helps transitioners to make informed career decisions through benefits counseling and employment assistance. ACAP is responsible for delivering both transition assistance and employment assistance services.
Pre-Separation

ACAP provides a wide range of services designed to make transition an easy and successful experience. The key to transition success is knowledge of those services and a firm understanding of how to use them. All transitioning Soldiers are required to visit the ACAP Center prior to departing the Army. Military personnel will receive services by attending a mandatory pre-separation briefing no less than 90 days prior to separation. During the briefing, Soldiers learn about their benefits and rights, as well as the services that are available. During the briefing Soldiers are introduced to the DD form 2648 “Pre-Separation Counseling Checklist” and assisted in its completion. This form helps Soldiers to identify their needs and develop a personal plan for securing the help to meet those needs.

Services: The Equal Employment Opportunity office develops local policies and programs implementing Executive Orders, EEO Commission Directives and Department of Navy and TRADOC regulations. Department of Army and Air Force employees, NAF employees and applicants for employment on Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE) who believe they are discriminated against are eligible for assistance through the EEO.

Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC)

Services: The CPAC serves the personnel administrative needs of the civilian employees of Joint Base Langley-Fort Eustis (JBLE) and Norfolk District Corp of Engineers. The CPAC staff advises Department of the Army managers and employees about recruitment and placement, classification, human resource development, the administration of the awards and appraisal programs, leave administration and disciplinary and adverse actions.

USAJOBS is used to recruit JBLE positions. Go to USAJOBS (usajobs.gov) to learn how to create a resume within USAJOBS. Keep in mind the assessment questionnaires are used for two purposes; (1) To determine eligibility, and (2) To determine qualifications. Applicants should ensure all of their experience is captured in their resume and that all required documents are included in their application package.
DoD Civilians transferring with their military spouse should call 878-2125 to request an appointment for registration in the spouse preference program.

Services: The VEC offers access to the Automated Labor Exchange (ALEX). Our system contains employment opportunities in Virginia and throughout the United States. The VEC assists in resume writing and provides employment counseling and referral to job openings. Military veterans can take advantage of the benefits to which they are entitles as well as find and adjust to civilian employment. Typing tests are scheduled Monday-Fridays by appointment between 0800 and 0830.

Services: The lending closet is administered to provide basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to incoming and outgoing families and in other cases determined appropriate. ACS personnel stock the lending closet with good quality items. At a minimum, items provided include basic kitchen equipment, high chairs, portable play pens, microwaves, ironing boards, and irons. This service can be used by incoming and outgoing personnel on PCS orders.

The Mobilization/Deployment Program also offers Spouse Battlemind Training and the Spouses' Yellow Ribbon Support Group, specifically designed to help Spouses recognize the signs of deployment such as fatigue & stress, and provides ideas and recourses to manage the challenges of deployment and re-deployment.
