Call to Worship: Through all the changing scenes of life,

Through all the changing seasons

High days and holy days in the Christian year,

Ordinary moments here with each other

We gather, Sunday by Sunday, to worship.

May the blessings of peace from God our maker

From Christ our saviour and guide,

And from God’s loving and Holy Spirit, be with us now in worship.

Prayer of Approach: God, maker of all that is, we pray for your blessing as we worship. Lift up our hearts to be encouraged. Lift up our minds to great things.

Help us lift up our fears and failings, and in your healing light,

let them go.

Be with us as we worship, in sacrament and song; and bring your blessing to our world. Amen.

We lift them up to the Lord

Let us give thanks to God

It is right to give God thanks and praise.

Prayers of Thanksgiving and Consecration

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those that trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
Breaking the bread and lifting the cup

Sharing the bread and cup

As we partake, we sing:

#381. Spirit of Life, come unto me. Sing in my heart all the stirrings of compassion. Blow in the wind, rise in the sea; move in the hand, giving life the shape of justice. Roots, hold me close, wings set me free; Spirit of Life, come to me, come to me. (2x)
#166. Joy comes with the dawn; joy comes with the morning sun, joy springs from the tomb, and scatters the night with her song, joy comes with the dawn (2x)
#352. Dance, then, wherever you may be; I am the Lord of the Dance, said he; and I’ll lead you all, wherever you may be, I will lead you all in the dance, said he. (2x)
Prayer following Communion: Gracious God, we thank you that through word and sacrament and good action, we become part of your living body in the world. Jesus Christ is our bread of life, and the true vine that connects us to you, and we pray that we will help bring true in the world his prayer, ‘that all may be one’. Bless us with peace as we go our ways, that we may be in communion always with your loving Spirit. Through Christ the Lord, Amen.
