Clear Channel's WMZQ Washington is looking for an all-star Assistant Promotions Director!


The Assistant Promotion Director’s primary responsibility is to assist the Promotion Director in the execution of WMZQ’s Annual Marketing Plan.

The Assistant Promotion Director is heavily in involved with all daily operational aspects of the Promotion Department.

Specific responsibilities include, (but are not limited to):

Advancing, setting up and management of on-site station appearances, as assigned.

Handling assigned tasks related to the execution of the Annual Marketing Plan.

Maintenance and coordination of: station database marketing; contesting; station appearances; signage placement; and purchase of specialty items.

Attending and contributing to the weekly promotion meetings and following up on the necessary action plan.

Attending client meetings with Account Executives as assigned.

Interfacing with listeners who contact the stations. The object is to instill customer satisfaction and advance station objectives.

Assisting the Promotion Director in recruitment and supervision of part-time Promotion Helpers and Promotion Interns.


The Assistant Promotion Director must:

Have a valid driver’s license; a good driving record; and be able to drive the station’s vehicles. Use of a personal vehicle may be needed.

Be able to use the most common Microsoft software products.

Be able to lift at least fifty pounds and be able to learn how to set up audio, video and computer equipment as assigned.

Be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Be able to type quickly and accurately.

Be able to work well in a team environment.

Have an excellent command of the English language.

Previous high-paced radio promotions experience a must.
