Dear Parents and Carers,
We have welcomed teachers from our Japanese link school, Sakado Azuma Kindergarten to our school this week. They have visited all classes and have shared lots of information about Japan with us. They have also taught maths activities using clothes pegs! They have shown all the children in Key Stage 1 to make sushi and presented them all with a special name tag which gives their name in Japanese. It has been wonderful to welcome our visitors to school and I know that our children have learnt so much from their visit.
On Saturday the 16th May 2015, 8 members of staff:
Mrs Clarke, Mrs Curley, Miss Hands, Miss Nerney, Mrs Ogle, Mrs Prigmore, Mrs Wilson and Miss Allen will be taking part in the MoonWalk London Challenge, starting at Clapham Common at midnight and continuing throughout the night for 26.2 miles!
As you may be aware this charity raises money and awareness for vital breast cancer causes. To date grants have been made to charities and organisations including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Campaign and hundreds of NHS Hospitals and Trusts. The charity also has a community grant which goes to smaller organisations to enable them to continue their work.
If you would like to sponsor them please go to the JustGiving.com – team name Reepham Primary. There is also a sponsor form at the office or you can leave a donation. The ladies have been training very hard for weeks now in preparation for this event so please pop in and sponsor them for this very worthwhile cause! Thank you.
