Bright Beginnings

Roselawn Elementary School Contact Principal Jill Koenitzer 924-2244. 8-11am or 12-3pm Mon-Thurs. Offered through the school district of Chetek, classroom instruction for 4-year-old children

Head Start and Early Head Start

Cesa #11, Free services to eligible families with young children. Programs for children under 3 years and children 3-5 years. Encourages growth and development of children and parents through socialization and experiences in group sessions and home visits

CLC After School Program


Roselawn and Middle School 924-2244 ext. 2110

K-4 at Roselawn, 3:20-3:00-5:15 Mon and Thurs 5:00 Tues, Wed, Thurs 5,6,7.8th grade at Middle School The Community Learning Center (CLC) provides students with opportunity to receive extra academic help, writing/math classes and activities after school. Sept. through May.



Fun-In-Faith

United Methodist Church 330 Stout St. Chetek, 924-4660. 12:45-3:30 Elementary Early Release days only. Contact: Pastor Greg Harrell. The purpose is to provide a safe place for children to develop through faith forming activities, stories, games, and crafts. Bus transportation provided from school to church. Transportation home must be provided by parent. All elementary aged children are accepted.

Wild Wednesdays

United Methodist Church 330 Stout St. Chetek. Contact Scott Evenson or Amy Weber 924-4660. A fun-in-faith program offered every Wednesday except Early Release Wednesdays 3:30-5pm. Ages Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children ride bus to church from school. Rides home are provided if needed.


Fall Football Clinic

Date varies from year to year. Held on a Saturday morning in the fall. Conducted by football coaching staff and players at high school track. Contact Lisa Ippolite 924-3137 ext 2092


5th and 6th Grade Youth Tackle Football

September and October.

2 to 3 practices per week in Chetek. Saturday games held in Chippewa Falls. Contact Coach Jay Dachel, 924-3137 ext 2118.
5th and 6th Grade Basketball Fundamentals

Roselawn Elementary Gym, 3:30-5pm. Boys and Girls program develops fundamental basketball skills. Starts in October and runs for 6 weeks. Boys Mon. and Wed. Girls Tues and Thurs. Contact Coach Mike Ohde 924-3137 ext 2035 or Coach Lee Killoren ext 2050.

Bulldog Bouncers

1st and 2nd grade boys and girls. Five Saturdays in January and February. 1st grade 9-950am 2nd grade 10-10:50am. Roselawn Gym Chetek High School Basketball Staff and players offering a basketball camp for Chetek youth. Contact Lisa at Community Education 924-3137 ext 2092

Youth League Basketball

3rd and 4th grade boys and girls. Five Saturdays in January and February. Boys 9-11am. Chetek High School Gym. Girls 11am-12:15pm. Roselawn Gym. Chetek High School basketball staff and players offering a basketball camp for Chetek youth. Contact Lisa at Community Education 924-3137 ext 2092

Great Northwest Traveling Basketball Leagues

5th through 8th grade boys and girls. Practice and tournaments held throughout Fall and Winter. Teams will stress fundamentals and tournament level team play. Parents of interested boys contact Coach Mike Ohde 924-2244 or girls contact Coach Lee Killoren 924-3137 for information on existing teams or for help setting up new teams.


Youth Wrestling

3rd 4th and 5th grade, January through March. Tuesdays and Fridays 3:30-4:45pm. Middle School cafeteria. An extensive 17 session program to ready this age group for tournament competition. Contact Lisa at Community Education 924-2166 ext 2092


Youth Bowling

Chetek Lanes www.cheteklanes.com Contact: John and Michelle Law. 642-0887. Open to 3-5th grade and middle school children. After School January-March. Transportation provided from school to lanes. Parent transportation home is required


Junior Pom Pon Clinic

2nd 3rd 4th and 5th grade students. Saturday clinic at the high school followed by weeknight performance at High School Girl’s basketball game. Contact Shannon Carr 924-2244 ext 2095


Knight’s of Columbus Free Throw Competition

Held at Cameron Middle School. Schedule varies from year-to-year. Open to boys and girls ages 10 and up.

Lunch at the Garage

Summer time only. Monday through Friday. Lunch is available at no cost to children up to 18 years of age.

3rd through 8th grade teams. Games held on weeknights both at home and away throughout the summer

Junior Golf Program

Kinship of Chetek

Kinship strives to improve lives through positive and safe friendships between adult volunteers and boys and girls ages 5-14 who need a positive supportive role model and friend. Weekly one-to-one activities and periodic large group gatherings. Free for participants. Child must live in Chetek School District, want to participate, have parent or guardian approval and permission and a need for a positive adult friend

Children’s Story Time

Calhoun Memorial Library

321 Moore St. 924-3195. Wed 10:30 am. Story Time is for all ages, but designed for preschool age. Includes stories, interactive books, poems and finger play. A craft, activity or video may follow reading time. Story time will be about 40 minutes long. An adult must accompany children.

The Garage


823 2nd St. Chetek, 924-2672, Fri and Sat 6-10 pm. Arcade games, pool, jukebox, traverse climbing wall, and basketball. All ages welcome, under 3rd grade needs chaperone. No admission charge snacks for sale.

Cub Scouts

Also participate in Pack functions such as swimming, roller-skating, hayrides, PineWood /Derby, Awards Ceremonies, Labor Day Parade, Scouting for Food and Day and Overnight Camp.
