MTAHQ – 347 MADISON AVENUE
New York Various Locations
MTAHQ is looking to implement a phased out project which results in an integrated, interoperable Security and Life Safety system that utilizes open standards and protocols, provides a distributed-system design and supports an open architecture platform. This will ultimately provide a more cost efficient operational environment, provide the flexibility to embrace and implement new technologies, and enable new capabilities that would never be achieved utilizing the existing systems. The most important benefit would be the ability to monitor systems from a single workstation with a consistent user interface, common control and command menus and the ability to view the interaction between a variety of systems from one screen.
To accomplish this, the MTAHQ recognizes that some systems will require replacement and others
will require integration into a new platform In achieving and meeting the goals of the MTA, TRJOY has developed an architecture that is built around the AMAG® Access Control System platform and the Avigilon ® Digital Video Recording Management System.
TRJA was recently re-awarded the contract to upgrade and modernize all MTAHQ facilities located in NYC, which is comprised of the following:-
Upgrade of existing Access Control System to the AMAG Enterprise System
Adding Redundant Servers for ACS System
Addition of new Video Workstations and ACS Workstations to monitor traffic at various strategic locations throughout the facilities.
Addition of turnstiles and visitor management systems to monitor the influx of visitors and personnel at the entrances to the MTAHQ facilities.
Addition of a brand new IP based VOIP Intercom System that will provide for emergency communication throughout the building at various strategic locations on every floor.
Upgrading current analog camera recording system to Digital MegaPixel Technology from Avigilon ®
Upgrading Video Storage solution to layered RAID 6 solution from Intransa.
