I have been saddened and concerned about continuos reports from commentators about breast ironing in the UK. As such, I am writing to the Police and Crime Commisioners in order to try an get an estimate of the prevalence of this practise.
I appreciate, as it is the case with similar cultural practices to breat ironing, that by their very nature it is often hard to detect, and many cases it will be practised behind doors, within families, and therefore will be occurring unoticed and unrecorded.
To enable me to ascertain the extent of this issue in your area. I would be grateful if you would provide the answers to the following questions.
1. Are you aware that the practice of breast ironing is occuring in your jurisdiction?
2. Do you have a record of incidents of breast ironing that have come into your attention?
3. If so, how many incidents have you recorded in each of the years between 2010 and 2015?
4. How many convictions for abuse have you had in your area where breast ironing has been part of or been the root of the abuse in each year between 2010 and 2015?

1. Do you feel you have the right guidance to equip your team to be able to identify the warning signs that breast ironing is occurring?

2. Would you welcome more guidance?
3. If you have any other feedback or information on this topic, I would be really grateful to receive it. Feel free to detail overle

To the kind attention of the head of the Suffolk Constabulary Police Force.
Dear Madam/Sir,
• Data from all available years on street-level crime, outcome, and stop and search information, including information on the 2011 lower layer super output area (LSOA) where the event took place, on the precise day of occurrence, on the age of the perpetrator (or age group), and on the crime type.
The data should preferably be supplied (i) as a single Excel file/worksheet; (ii) as a .csv file. I am aware that this kind of information is available at a more aggregated level on the data.police.uk website. However, for research purposes it would be very important for us to have this information at the level of disaggregation hereby requested. This information would be used exclusively for purposes of academic research in order to investigate the connection between school closures and occurrence of crime. Therefore, daily records of crime including also information on the age of the perpetrator would be very important for our work. I thank you in advance for your invaluable collaboration, and I look forward to your response.

Does Suffolk Constabulary refer children of victims of sexual abuse

to childrens services, on the basis alone of being a victim of

child sexual abuse and that "a large number of victims of sexual

abuse go on to be abusers"?

How many times has this happened in 2014?
Can you send me any code or guidelines that Suffolk Police follow

Could you please provide me details if there are any know Paedophiles or known threats to young people in Ipswich.

By postcode will be suitable.

IP1-IP6

***CLARIFICATION RECEIVED**

My request is in support of my role; providing housing options for

16-18 year olds.

If I have a list of properties; is there a route for me to have

these verified with the register of Sexual Offenders?

I have seen other requests on this site where 'by post-code' was

suitable disclosure format and thi information was made available.

I would like to know if there are any risks within the Ipswich

community, in proximity to our rental locations and to be able to

take suitable efforts to minimize any other risks.

Yours sincerely,
**2nd CLARIFICATION RCVD*** 09/02/2016

Dear Freedom Of Information (Suffolk),

Thank you for responding.

Yes, I saw post-codes mentioned before for a region in Scotland.

I understand that the information is kept and utilized but in my

example, this seems entirely independently of myself and the

organisation I work with renting and establishing locations for

housing young people.

Can you confirm:

1. Information about known paedophiles is available for County

Council Social Services.

2. It is responsibility of the County Council Social Services and

Police to minimize potential risk to young people in proximal

residence with dangerous members in the Community.

Yours sincerely,

***3rd CLARIFICATION RCVD *** 09/02/2016
Dear Freedom Of Information (Suffolk),

If you could please provide the information as stated.

To clarify what I have been told regarding the information request-

"Information relating to individual post codes would not be

disclosed due to

the increased risk of the individual being identified. You may

have seen

it disclosed by postcode for larger metropolitan areas where there

is a

higher density of population (over 10,000 population per

postcode)."

In the light of this information I have asked you to confirm IN

WHAT CAPACITY the RSO / Police Child Protection DOES OPERATE (1&2)

to ensure the safety in community settings where there are

vulnerable young people, an example being the cohort of cared for

young people housed by Ipswich Borough Council, through private

companies. I can confirm that my current position is that I have

acknowledged the limitations you have stated, and I am not

insisting that this information is provided.

If you can advise me about other routes whereby post-coded

information may be reviewed within your organisation - and thus

prevent the need for disclosing sensitive information -t his would

be appreciated and adequately fit my criteria.
