Named Swords:

  1. Ice. Valyrian greatsword. Belonged to House Stark of Winterfell for four hundred years. Named after the sword of the Kings of Winter. Wielded By Lord Eddard Stark, Lord Rickard Stark his father, Lord Edwyle Stark his father, and all the Lords of Winterfell, among them Lord Cregan Stark. Also by King Torrhen Stark, the King Who Knelt, and several of his ancestors, possibly King Rodrik Stark. Taken from Lord Eddard and used to execute him in King’s Landing in 297. It was given to Ser Ilyn Payne, the King’s Justice, for a while, then in 299 melted by the command of Lord Tywin Lannister, Hand to King Joffrey I Baraheon, and reforged into two new identical swords, Widow’s Wail and Oathkeeper. (AGOT-ASOS)

  1. Longclaw. Valyrian bastard sword. Belonged to House Mormont of Bear Island for five hundred years. Original pommel was a silver bear's head, so worn it was all but indistinguishable. Wielded by Lord Jeor Mormont, Lord Jorah Mormont, and Lord Commander Jon Snow. When Jeor took the black, he passed Longclaw to his son, Lord Jorah Mormont. Jorah fled, but left Longclaw behind, and Jeor, who never used it again, passed it on to Jon Snow and out of his house in 299. When Snow accepted it, the pommel was remade as a white stone snarling wolf’s head. (AGOT-ASOS)
  2. Needle. Castle-forged thin sword, Braavosi-style, shorted than a shortsword and longer than a dirk. Forged at Winterfell at the command of Jon Snow in 297, who gifted it to Arya Stark. Wielded by Princess Arya Stark, and Polliver (a soldier in the service of Ser Gregor Clegane who took it from her in 298, before Arya found him in 299, killed him and retrieved it). (AGOT-ASOS)

  3. Red Rain. Valyrian longsword. Belonged to House Drumm of Old Wyk, after Hilmar Drumm the Cunning won it from another knight. Wielded by Hilmar Drumm, and Lord Dustan Drumm in 300. (AFFC)

  11. Oathkeeper. Valyrian longsword. One of two indentical swords re-forged from Ice by the command of Lord Tywin Lannister, Hand of the King, in 299. He gave her to his son, Ser Jaime Lannister, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, but since Jaime was newly crippled and could not make use of it, he gave it to Lady Brienne of Tarth soon after. Brienne, therefore, is her wielder.(ASOS)

  12. Dawn. Valyrian greatsword whose blade is as pale as milkglass, forged from the heart of a fallen star. Belonged to House Dayne of Starfall. Every member of the family who accepts Dawn and is proven worthy of her is titled the Sword of the Morning. (AGOT-ASOS)
