Color Mixing: Website from Harcourt School Publishers could be shared with the class. It is narrated and provides an opportunity to mix colors on the screen. It also includes easy-to-understand information about the color wheel and mixing colors.

Sesame Street: Color Me Hungry: Interactive activity in which students must match the color of the food to the color of the tray. This activity could be done either by individuals or pairs of students at the Computer Center or by the whole class with the teacher calling up individual students to make a move on the computer while others watched.

Color the Rainbow: Frog narrates a rhyming poem about guessing the colors of the rainbow. The teacher could show the site to students as a whole class activity and have them guess the correct colors or this website could be used by individuals or pairs of students at the Computer Center if the class has sufficient access to technology.

Clifford The Big Red Dog: Coloring Book: If there is sufficient time and access to technology, students can learn to use the computer drawing tools on a paint program (choosing the paint bucket, different size brushes, colors, and pictures to color).

Carmine’s Introduction to Color: Site could be presented to the class because it includes many interactive color activities where students could be involved in decision-making. The site includes information about primary colors, the color wheel, warm, cool and neutral colors, tints and shades, and a color quiz (some of this might be a bit advanced for kindergarten, but could provide good background knowledge for teachers).
