What the heck is a MMORPG?
The acronym MMORPG stands for Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game. These games are online three-dimensional worlds where hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world can go on exciting adventures together or just hang-out and chat. The worlds are incredibly immersive, richly detailed, and very popular. In fact, there are approximately four million MMOG subscribers today, and about one hundred thousand new subscribers added monthly. For years, people have dreamt of creating a kind of global community, where people could come together, make new friends, share ideas, and hang out. Since the dawn of the Internet Age, it was clear that the dream could quickly become a reality. Now, with the rise of Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG's), places and themes that were once confined to books and imagination are now commonplace. Entire worlds are within reach of anyone who is ready to log in and play. Worlds of beauty and danger - filled with lush landscapes and mysterious creatures of all sizes. Most of all, there are communities of people dedicated toward coming together to help explore these worlds and overcome challenges - sometimes blurring the line between what defines a game and a society. Not only that, but you can be just about anyone or anything you want. A warrior, a craftsman, male or female... the possibilities are endless.
What is so special about Turbine’s College Quest Program for me as a college student?
Turbine is offering free copies of the AC2FK game DVD to select colleges and universities across the country that offer game related course curriculums. The students and professors of these courses will receive a free copy of AC2FK and a 90 Day Free game account, allowing them to play AC2FK for up to 90 days at no charge. The program allows students and professors to evaluate the visuals, designs, and game play of a great MMORPG. The only way to participate is to be authorized by a participating professor, and receive a 90 Day product CD key from them.
Great, what do I need to get started playing?
First of all you will need a PC, a copy of the AC2FK MMORPG Game, a Product CD Key, and an internet connection. The following minimum system requirement specs are recommended in order to play: Windows 2000/XP/98/Me; 256 MB RAM; 733 MHz + processor, 2 GB hard drive space, 32MB/3D T&L Video Card. Although the game can be played on a 56k dial-up connection, it is best played on a high speed connection such as a T1 line, Cable, or DSL modem. The game DVD and product CD will be issued by your professor. T
Why does registration for the game world require me to enter a credit card?
Although credit card information is required to access and enjoy the free trial of Asheron’s Call 2: Fallen Kings, the 90 day College Quest version is provided to you at no cost. If a player chooses to continue playing AC2 after the 90 Day free trial period expires, their credit card will be billed automatically for a month of unlimited access at $12.95 PER MONTH. There is no contract required and a player can then cancel at any time in the future. However, if the player decides they do not want to continue enjoying AC2 before the 90 day free trial expires, they need to cancel prior to the end of the 90-day trail – they will not be billed and they will no longer have access to the service. To cancel the player will access the billing page once an active account is set-up.
Requiring credit card information to experience the free trial is an important step in providing a safe and enjoyable service for Turbine’s customers. If you have a credit card, you are most likely an adult or have the permission of an adult to play the game. In addition, when you agree to provide your credit card information you express a serious interest in checking out the adventures in AC2 and becoming a part of its vibrant community.
While we understand that some prospective players might not have a credit card, and therefore may not be able to take advantage of the trial, we feel that this is a legitimate – and necessary – requirement to use the 90-day trial.

Can I get kicked out of the game?
Turbine has a strict code of conduct for all of our online games. In our virtual worlds players are interacting with other players across the globe in real time. Each player must abide by the rules of conduct in order to play. Any students participating in the Turbine College Game Quest program who breaks these rules will be warned and/or blocked from future game play. Since this is a college sanctioned program, the respective professor will also be notified of banned players and their negative actions within the game during the 90 day Free program period.
