Competition 2015
The competition is organised by Bath and N.E. Somerset Library Service in partnership with Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights, Bath Spa University Department of Creative Writing, the Bath Chronicle and writers: Caroline Carver, Nigel Smith, Jeff Dowson, David Lassman and Sandy Osborne.
Could you write a crime story?
If you are 17 or under on Monday 12th January 2015 you are eligible to enter the competition.
Competition dates:

Monday 12th January: Competition starts - get writing!
Saturday 31st January Writing Workshop at Bath Central Library

11am to 1pm to inspire and help you write your story (The workshop is FREE but spaces are limited so book your place by emailing june_wentland@bathnes.gov.uk. )

Monday 16th March: Closing date – make sure your entry is in!

Wednesday 29th April: Award ceremony at Bath Central Library

1st prize – a Kindle funded by Bath Spa University and a trophy (funded by the Bath Chronicle)

2nd prize – £25 book token and a book provided by Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights

3rd prize – 3 books provided by Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights


There will also be a further 5 Highly Commended entries, all of which will receive a certificate. Winning entries will be published on the Bath and N.E. Somerset web site Library Service pages.

The 8 short listed entrants will be invited to the award ceremony on Wednesday 29th April at Bath Central Library. See reverse side for competition entry form.
