===Areas of Focus===
Sculpturings (as defined by the artist): a specific artistic collection of jewelry rings for fingers, that have the purpose to combine current social issues of the day that are artistically represented in a physical sculptural form with words from the English language that contain the word ring, and are cast into precious metals like gold, silver, copper, and brass from the lost wax casting process.

===Tablespoons of Paint===

Her recent success with the Tablespoons of Paint series was partly inspired by the common fascination and adoration we have for musicians and their craft, and upcycling the dying media of vinyl records. Starting in 2008, her homage to musicians on their actual records is linking her art to theirs. Her separation of tonal values is heavily influenced by her printmaking background as the shapes remain graphic and clean. Expanding on this idea, and welcoming a rather large commission, she applied her crisp black, grey and white technique to table paintings on wood. Also included in this series are her paintings on metal and traditional canvas.

===Teaspoons of Ink===

Her major at NAU was printmaking, where she learned the fine art of serigraphy, intaglio, woodcut and linocut relief, lithography, and mezzotints. Her interest in creating limited editions of works at the time proved more appealing than creating a "one of.” The name of this series comes from the small amount of ink used to pull a print. Her early prints drew inspiration from 1940's and 1950's magazine advertisements from Life and Time.

Rebecca Downin's 9 years of experience with face painting at renowned theme parks, (Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT in Orlando, FL. Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Japan, Universal Studios Hollywood in Hollywood, CA and Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida) has allowed her to develop her gallery of face paintings entitled Washables in which she primarily uses herself as the canvas. Due to the nature of her Washables, the only memory of the paintings are provided through pictures as the paintings are washed off within the same day of creation.
